Belarus mulls parliamentary hearings on education

MINSK, 24 October (BelTA) – Belarus plans to hold parliamentary hearings on the national education system and the ways to improve legislative regulations, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives.

It is expected that the issue of organizing parliamentary hearings will be considered at the meeting of the Council of the House of Representatives on 25 October and submitted to the Oval Hall on the same day.

As was reported earlier, Speaker Vladimir Andreichenko asked the MPs to decide on the theme of the parliamentary hearings at the meeting of the Council of the House of Representatives in late September. According to the speaker, all forms of work should be used to enhance the quality of the legislative drafting activities.

Proposals on parliamentary hearings were introduced by the commission on industry, fuel and energy complex, transport and communications (on improving the country’s energy sector), and the commission on the economic policy and international affairs (on attracting investments in Belarus and enhancing the country’s general investment attractiveness).
