Belarus MPs ratify visa abolition agreement with China's Macau S.A.R.

MINSK, 5 October (BelTA) - Members of the House of Representatives ratified the agreement between the Government of Belarus and the Government of Macau Special Administrative Region of China on the mutual abolition of visas, BelTA has learned.

The agreement was signed in Macau on 18 March 2016 and aims to simplify mutual trips. In accordance with the agreement, the holders of valid travel documents of the two parties shall be exempted from having to obtain a visa for entry, exit and transit through the territory of the other party. The duration of continuous stay in the territory of the other party shall not exceed thirty days from the date of entry. The total duration of stay in the territory of the other party shall not exceed 90 days within one calendar year.

In line with the document, each party retains the right to deny entry to the citizens of the other state or reduce the period of their stay if they deem it necessary.

In addition, the MPs ratified the agreement between Belarus and Estonia concerning certain aspects of entry, stay and departure.
