Belarus, Mongolia eager to cooperate in security

MINSK, 25 August (BelTA) – State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Belarus Baigalmaa Gunaajav on 25 August, BelTA has learned.

During the meeting the parties discussed topical matters of interstate interaction as well as prospects of bilateral cooperation in security. The parties noted that Belarusian-Mongolian relations are traditionally constructive and mutually beneficial.

At the meeting it was stressed that the development of interstate cooperation will be facilitated by the expansion of interaction in all areas, including security. In this context the parties noted the availability of potential and confirmed their intention to develop contacts through defense, security, and law enforcement agencies as well as in the field of emergency prevention and response.

Aleksandr Volfovich wished success to the Mongolian ambassador in her work in the new post.
