Belarus, Mongolia confirm readiness for cooperation in international organizations

MINSK, 15 September (BelTA) – Minsk played host to the sixth round of consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of Belarus and Mongolia on 15 September, BelTA learned from the Belarusian ministry of foreign affairs.

The Belarusian delegation was led by First Deputy Minister Sergei Lukashevich, and the Mongolian delegation by Deputy Minister Gombosuren Amartuvshin.

The parties noted the longstanding traditions of friendship and cooperation between the Belarusian and Mongolian peoples, which go back to Soviet times. They welcomed the marked intensification of bilateral contacts across all areas and expressed their readiness to work together to make the fullest possible use of the potential in economic, trade, technological and humanitarian ties.

In addition, plans were agreed for holding bilateral events at the highest and high levels, as well as further steps to improve the treaty and legal framework for interaction.

The parties also noted that Belarus and Mongolia share similar positions on key international agenda issues and confirmed their readiness to continue working effectively together within international organizations.

Gombosuren Amartuvshin thanked Belarus for organizing the consultations, noting the importance of this bilateral mechanism for ensuring further coordination of work in all areas of Belarusian-Mongolian cooperation.
