MINSK, 23 April (BelTA) – Belarusian First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lukashevich met with ambassadors of the member states of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and Jordan on 23 April, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed the evolving situation in the Gulf region, as well as in the Middle East in general.
The heads of diplomatic missions of Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan accredited in Russia conveyed to Belarus the position of their capitals regarding the current geopolitical situation in the region.
In turn, the first deputy minister of foreign affairs reaffirmed Belarus’ unwavering commitment to the political and diplomatic resolution of conflicts.
