MINSK, 9 June (BelTA) – The Financial Investigations Department of Belarus’ State Control Committee and the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan have signed a memorandum of understanding, BelTA learned from the State Control Committee.
The signing ceremony took place during a visit by a delegation of Kazakhstan’s Agency for Financial Monitoring to Minsk. The document was signed by Deputy Chairman of the State Control Committee - Director of the Financial Investigations Department Andrei Sambuk and Deputy Chairman of the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Bizhanov.
“The implementation of the memorandum will help develop and strengthen partnership between the agencies, enhance bilateral cooperation and create a legal framework for joint efforts to combat economic crime, as well as the financing of extremism and terrorism,” the State Control Committee said.
