Belarus, Kazakhstan sign six agreements after presidents’ meeting

NUR-SULTAN, 25 October (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev adopted a joint statement following the talks in Nur-Sultan on 25 October, BelTA has learned.

After the meeting of the heads of state, the governments of the two countries concluded an agreement on cooperation in migration. An agreement on cooperation was signed by the Operations and Analysis Center under the President of the Republic of Belarus and the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Ministries of Foreign Affairs signed the cooperation plan for 2020-2021. An agreement on cooperation was concluded by the Investigative Committee of Belarus and the General Prosecutor’s Office of Kazakhstan.

The State Property Committee of Belarus and the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan signed an agreement on the state registration of immovable property. The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan agreed to cooperate in the exchange of the Earth remote sensing data.

After the official signing ceremony Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed that the talks were businesslike and trustworthy and were held in an absolutely friendly atmosphere. “I am convinced that their results will add a new impetus to the strategic partnership between Minsk and Nur-Sultan,” the Belarusian president said.
