MINSK, 3 November (BelTA) – Belarus and Iran have outlined new areas for deeper air force cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Defense.
On 2-5 November, a military delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force is visiting Belarus. The visit began with a meeting between Commander of the Belarusian Air Force and Air Defense, Major General Andrei Lukyanovich, and the Commander of the Iranian Air Force, Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi. The parties discussed the state of Belarusian-Iranian relations and defined further ways to advance cooperation in the air force and air defense.
It is planned that the foreign delegation will visit the Military Academy of Belarus, military units of the air force, and learn about the latest models of electronic warfare equipment.
