Belarus, Iran aim to deepen practical cooperation

MINSK, 27 July (BelTA) – Minsk and Tehran have reaffirmed the consistently friendly nature of their bilateral relations. The statement was made during a meeting between Belarusian First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lukashevich and Assistant to the Iranian Foreign Minister and Director General for Eurasian Affairs Manouchehr Moradi, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed current issues on the Belarus-Iran cooperation agenda, as well as selected aspects of the international and regional agenda. They reaffirmed the consistently friendly character of relations between Minsk and Tehran, based on the principles of mutual respect, trust and equality.

The officials noted the positive momentum in bilateral engagement and the steady development of cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment, humanitarian and other areas.

Sergei Lukashevich and Manouchehr Moradi reaffirmed Belarus and Iran’s commitment to further deepening practical cooperation, expanding contacts at various levels and implementing previously reached agreements.
