Belarus, Indonesia agree on closer international cooperation

MINSK, 30 June (BelTA) – Belarus and Indonesia have agreed to strengthen coordination on the global stage during a meeting between Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov and Indonesian Minister for Foreign Affairs Sugiono in Jakarta on 30 June, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties reviewed the implementation of agreements reached during the Belarusian foreign minister’s visit to Indonesia in August 2025, noting a significant intensification of bilateral contacts.

Maxim Ryzhenkov and Sugiono exchanged views on a wide range of issues concerning Belarus-Indonesia trade, political, economic, investment, and humanitarian cooperation, as well as regional and global agenda items.

Consideration was given to interaction within international organizations, reaching an agreement to strengthen coordination on the global stage. In addition, they reviewed the initiative to develop the Eurasian Charter of Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century. The Indonesian side noted that this initiative aligned with its own approaches to global processes.

The parties discussed the schedule of upcoming contacts and joint events aimed at sustaining political dialogue and boosting economic engagement.
