MINSK, 4 May (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei discussed preparations for a number of high-level visits with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Belarus Sangeeta Bahadur as she presented copies of her credentials to the minister, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The sides discussed the current state of Belarus-India relations in the top-priority fields of bilateral cooperation and the upcoming joint events, including preparations for several high-level visits,” the press service said.

Vladimir Makei congratulated the new ambassador on her appointment and wished her a successful tenure in the interests of further development of Belarus-India relations.

The minister also expressed condolences over the numerous victims of deadly sandstorms in northern India.
