MINSK, 10 November (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Hungary Alexander Khainovsky met with Sandor Lezsak, Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary and Head of the Belarus-Hungary Group of Friendship, to discuss ways to intensify the cooperation at the level of the parliaments, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The parties stressed the need for closer Belarusian-Hungarian interparliamentary cooperation both in bilateral format and within international and regional organizations, including in the context of Belarus’ upcoming presidency of the Central European Initiative,” the press service said.

The parties also discussed the preparations for the joint events to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Belarus and Hungary. The celebrations are scheduled for February 2017.
