Belarus, Hungary discuss migration risks
MINSK, 28 January (BelTA) – The migration processes in the region were discussed during the consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Budapest, BelTA learned from the Belarusian ministry.
The parties discussed Belarus’ and Hungary’s visa policies in the context of the negotiations on visa facilitation between Belarus and EU, migration trends in the region and related risks, protection of individuals and legal entities of both countries, and cooperation in mutual legal assistance, the ministry said.
The Belarusian delegation was led by Head of the Consular Department at the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Igor Fisenko, Hungarian by Head of the Department of Consular Affairs and Citizenship at the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Zita Bencsik.
The Belarusian delegation also met with Deputy Director General of the Office of Immigration and Nationality of Hungary Attila Kiss to exchange best practices in the field of countering illegal migration.
