Belarus' government approves technical assistance project on radiation protection training

MINSK, 28 July (BelTA) – The Council of Ministers has approved the international technical assistance project to train using EU’s advanced experience in radiation protection and nuclear safety culture for the Belarusian academic community. The decision is laid down in Council of Ministers’ Resolution No.435 of 27 July 2020, BelTA learned from the national legal internet portal.

The Education Ministry will coordinate the project. The ministry will also monitor the implementation of the project to define tools and targets of expert assessment for medical education (healthcare).

There have been also approved the technical assistance projects “EU for Climate” (the coordinator – the Ministry of National Resources and Environmental Protection) and “Development of an Efficient Public Awareness System in the State Border Committee”.

The projects were approved keeping in mind the proposals of the Commission on International Technical Cooperation at the Council of Ministers.

The resolution took effect on 27 July.

The international technical assistance project is a document that envisages a set of agreed organizational and technical events, united by a common goal and secured either partially or entirely by donor funding.
