MINSK, 4 February (BelTA) – Belarus and Germany will discuss expansion of bilateral cooperation as well as Belarus-EU relations, spokesman for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik told media on 4 February, BelTA informs.
The issues will be considered during a visit of Political Director of German Federal Foreign Office Andreas Michaelis to Minsk on 9-10 February. He is expected to meet with Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna.
The trade between Belarus and Germany totaled $2.471 billion in 2015, down 40% from the previous year. The Belarusian export made up $1.086 billion (down 34.3%), import - $1.385 billion (down 43.8%). Belarus posted a trade deficit of $298.5 million.
