MINSK, 8 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has resolutely condemned the mass shootings which happened in Texas, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“We resolutely condemn the mass shootings in Texas and offer sincere condolence to the families of the victims and all the residents of Sutherland Springs,” the ministry stressed.
As the media reported, an unidentified man opened fire in the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, San Antonio, Texas, the United States on Sunday morning, 5 November. He killed 27 people, including a pregnant woman and her three children.
According to eye witnesses, the man was calm entering the building and opened fire silently. The absolute majority of people who attended the morning prayer were injured. The eye witnesses called the police. The man was shot down.
The suspect in the shooting is 26-year-old Devin Kelley. He served in the air forces, was fired and was institutionalized after beating his wife and child.
