MINSK, 10 September (BelTA) – Belarus has expressed concern over reports about Israel’s airstrikes on Doha, the capital of Qatar, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“We strongly oppose attacks on the territories of sovereign states in violation of the UN Charter and international law norms. The attack on Qatar is particularly cynical given that it targets a state which has long served a peacekeeping role, working to secure the release of hostages and end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict,” the ministry stressed.

The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed solidarity with the international community’s concern that such actions may increase regional tensions and undermine the search for a swift ceasefire in Gaza.

“There is no information about any citizens of the Republic of Belarus being affected. We strongly recommend that citizens residing in Doha follow the instructions of the local authorities to ensure personal safety and maintain contact with the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Belarus,” the ministry urged.

The emergency phone number of the Belarusian embassy in Qatar is +97450215358.
