MINSK, 9 December (BelTA) – Topical aspects of Belarus’ interaction with the European Union were discussed during the meeting of Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna and a European Union delegation on 9 December, the press service of the Ministry told BelTA.

The delegation was led by Deputy Managing Director for Europe and Central Asia, Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia, regional cooperation and the OSCE of the European External Action Service (EEAS) Gunnar Wiegand and Deputy Director General of the Directorate-General for European Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) of the European Commission Katarina Mathernova. The EU delegation also included Head of the EU Delegation in Belarus Andrea Wiktorin, experts of the European Commission and the EEAS.

During the meeting the sides discussed Belarus’ interaction with the European Union, including technical cooperation, BelTA has been told.
