MINSK, 26 May (BelTA) – Belarus’ social and economic development program for 2016-2020 will be finalized within 10 days, Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov told reporters.

“The program will be finalized within 10 days. After approval by the head of state, the document will be submitted to the delegates nominated to attend the Belarusian People's Congress,” Andrei Kobyakov said.

The Prime Minister said that the program will be based on verified and evidence-based indicators which will serve as benchmarks in the preparation of the annual social and economic development forecasts. “They will give answers as to how the country will develop, which indicators it will reach by 2020, how the standards of living will change, how the economy will evolve, which industries will be the priority and what kind of priorities of social and economic development we will have for the five-year period,” he noted.
