Belarus, Dubai aim to strengthen cooperation on migration

MINSK, 27 August (BelTA) – Belarus and Dubai will strengthen cooperation on migration issues. The matter was discussed at a meeting between Belarusian Consul General in Dubai Aleksei Zhaldybin and Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The interlocutors discussed prospects for developing cooperation between the competent authorities of Belarus and Dubai in the field of migration. Particular attention was paid to modern approaches to managing migration processes, digitalization of residency and migration services, improvement of administrative procedures, and the use of advanced technologies,” the press service said.

The parties also discussed practical matters concerning the entry and stay of Belarusian citizens in the UAE, and cooperation on consular and migration issues.

The parties agreed to develop direct working contacts between the competent authorities of Belarus and Dubai on matters of mutual interest.
