MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Shuleiko has met with Yun Jong Ho, Minister of External Economic Relations of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the government press service told BelTA.

Representatives of industry-specific government agencies from both countries also participated in the talks. The parties reviewed progress on the agreements reached following the official visit of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in March 2026.

Both sides expressed their readiness to expand the scope and range of bilateral cooperation in food security, healthcare, and other areas. Yuri Shuleiko underscored Belarus’ openness to any initiatives from the

Korean side, which are considered and implemented based on the real capabilities and international commitments of both nations. He also highlighted the importance of the current visit by the Korean delegation and its participation in the international agricultural exhibition Belagro 2026 as an opportunity to build a better understanding of Belarus’ economic potential.
