Belarus delivers statement at UN meeting on bus attack in Bryansk Oblast

MINSK, 26 June (BelTA) – Belarus has strongly condemned all acts of violence targeting civilians. The statement was made by Belarus’ Permanent Representative to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Dmitry Krasovsky during the 174th meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives to UNEP at the UN headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, Dmitry Krasovsky delivered a statement regarding the attack on a Belarusian civilian bus in Russia’s Bryansk Oblast that was carrying Belarusian citizens, most of them children.

Dmitry Krasovsky strongly condemned all acts of violence directed against civilians and stressed the need for an immediate, objective and impartial investigation into the tragedy.

The diplomat emphasized that the protection of children and civilians is the cornerstone of the international cooperation system, without which its entire system would collapse.
