Belarus, Cuba outline steps to advance cooperation in manufacturing

MINSK, 25 January (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Cuba Vitaly Borchuk met with Mario Eduardo Hernandez Arbucias, Vice President for Development of the Cuban industrial group GESIME (Grupo Empresarial de la Industria Sidero Mecanica), the other day, BelTA has learned.

During the meeting the parties discussed progress in implementing the effective Belarusian-Cuban agreements in the field of manufacturing sector and outlined steps for further advancement of bilateral cooperation.

As a result of the negotiations the head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission and the GESIME vice president identified key areas of joint work and worked out a strategy for interaction in the near future taking into account the need to honor the existing commitments.

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Cuba were established in April 1992. Both countries maintain an active political dialogue at the top level and the high level. Belarus and Cuba support each other on international platforms.
