MINSK, 23 July (BelTA) - Belarus continues consultations with EU on visa facilitation and readmission agreements, Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said in an interview to the ONT TV channel on 22 July.

The minister said that “the issues related to the conclusion of agreements on visa facilitation and readmission are currently negotiated with the European Union.” “I cannot say that they will be signed within a day or two. There are a number of points on which we continue consultations with European partners,” said Vladimir Makei.

In his words, Belarus and the EU countries have absolute understanding of the need to maintain progress and positive climate in bilateral relations. Vladimir Makei noted that the parties agreed on concrete steps to promote mutual cooperation.
