MINSK, 14 May (BelTA) – Belarus and China are interested in strengthening military-technical cooperation. Cooperation prospects of the two countries were discussed during the official visit of the Chinese military delegation to Belarus by Chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee Sergei Gurulev and Deputy Head of the Chief Department of Armament and Military Hardware of the People’s Liberation Army of Belarus Lieutenant General Liu Sheng, BelTA learned from the State Military Industrial Committee of Belarus.
According to Sergei Gurulev, the visit of the Belarusian President to China last summer brought the relations between the two countries onto a new level of all-round strategic partnership. “I am confident that this visit will add an additional impetus to the development of cooperation and friendship between China and Belarus,” he said.
The parties praised the results in the military-technical cooperation, stressing it as one of the main parameters of the all-round strategic relations between the two states.
During the visit of the Belarusian Premier to China early in 2014 the parties signed the Belarusian-Chinese cooperation roadmap for 2014-2018.
