MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Zhang Wenchuan, the Belarusian MFA press service told BelTA.
According to the ministry, the parties gave a positive assessment of the momentum in Belarus-China trade.
In a traditionally constructive manner, Maxim Ryzhenkov and Ambassador Zhang Wenchuan exchanged views on the most pressing issues of the bilateral and international agenda, paying special attention to upcoming contacts between the leaders of the two countries, as well as to a series of planned trade, economic, and investment-related events.
The head of the Belarusian Foreign Affairs Ministry once again reaffirmed the country’s commitment to the One China principle and its support for the Chinese government’s efforts to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
