MINSK, 17 April (BelTA) – Belarusian and Chinese MPs have agreed to share the best practices in lawmaking activities, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Zhang Dejiang told the media after the talks with the Belarusian MPs on 17 April, BelTA has learned.
The parliaments of Belarus and China signed the joint statement on cooperation. “We would like to stress the importance of sharing lawmaking practices,” Zhang Dejiang said. We need to strengthen friendship and contacts between the legislative bodies of the two countries, he added.
Zhang Dejiang stressed that the contacts between the legislative bodies play an essential role in the all-round development of interstate relations. “We should make the maximum use of all the advantages our legislative bodies have, strengthen contacts between the relevant committees and working bodies, improve the legal environment for practical cooperation,” said the chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress. Thus, the MPs will be able to secure successful implementation of joint agreements, promote mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in every sector.
