MINSK, 16 October (BelTA) – Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Vladimir Ulakhovich took part in the 128th session of the General Assembly of the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBERS). The event took place in the format of a videoconference, BelTA learned from the BelCCI.
Taking part in the videoconference were EUROCHAMBERS President Christoph Leitl, Chief Executive Officer Ben Butters, as well as more than 60 heads and representatives of the chambers of commerce and industry and business unions that make part of this European association. They discussed trade and economic cooperation between the EU and the UK, reviewed and approved the budget, the statutory calendar for 2021, and elected the Board of Directors and the Budgetary Committee members.
The Plenary Assembly addressed the financial tools to support SMEs during the pandemic, the functioning of the common European market, mechanisms to ensure stable operation of businesses during the crisis, the BelCCI informed.
The EUROCHAMBRES Board members informed participants about amendments to the Strategic Roadmap of the EUROCHAMBERS, optimization of the thematic committees operating under its auspices, as well as plans to hold the European Parliament of Enterprises in 2021.
