Belarus cannot accuse or acquit any of the sides in the Ukrainian conflict

MINSK, 30 June (BelTA) – Belarus cannot accuse or acquit any of the sides in the Ukrainian conflict. Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko made the statement as he met with OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Vice President Kent Harstedt on 30 June, BelTA has learned.

Vladimir Andreichenko also remarked that Ukrainian events represent a very sensitive issue for Belarus. Ukraine is a neighbor, the Belarusian-Ukrainian border is about 1,100km long while the mutual trade turnover stands at $5 billion per annum.

“We are interested in getting the conflict resolved as soon as possible for the sake of preventing further loss of life,” stressed Vladimir Andreichenko. Belarus is also interested in Ukraine staying a stable, independent, and indivisible state.
