Belarus, Cameroon eager to expand political, trade ties

MINSK, 26 April (BelTA) – Ambassador of Belarus to Nigeria with concurrent accreditation to Cameroon Vyacheslav Bril presented copies of credentials to Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cameroon Lejeune Mbella Mbella, representatives of the Belarusian diplomatic mission told BelTA.

The sides discussed the state and prospects of advancement of Belarus-Cameroon relations. They noted mutual interest in expanding political, trade, economic, and humanitarian ties between the two countries.

Apart from that, Vyacheslav Bril met with a candidate for the position of Belarus’ honorary consul in Cameroon. The completion of the consul’s appointment procedure by the Cameroonian side was discussed as well as the opening of the consul’s office and prospects of increasing the bilateral trade.
