MINSK, 19 June (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Vietnam with concurrent accreditation to the Kingdom of Cambodia Vladimir Borovikov and Acting Head of State, Senate President of Cambodia Hun Sen discussed the development of political dialogue between Belarus and Cambodia on 19 June, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Vietnam.
The parties reviewed a wide range of topics related to Belarusian-Cambodian relations, including the development of political dialogue and the expansion of bilateral trade. They also discussed facilitating direct contacts between the two countries in the areas of tourism and culture. The sides exchanged views on a number of current regional and global issues.


Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Kingdom of Cambodia were established on 25 January 1995. Political cooperation between the two countries continues to develop in the interests of both sides. Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia Chring Botumrangsay took part in the 3rd Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security in October 2025. During the event, she also met with Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov.
