Belarus calls to end unlawful unilateral coercive measures

MINSK, 18 September (BelTA) - Belarus urges to end the harmful practice of using unlawful unilateral coercive measures, Permanent Representative of Belarus to the International Organizations in Vienna Andrei Dapkiunas said at the general discussion of the IAEA General Conference on 18 September, BelTA learned.

The Belarusian diplomat noted that the deterioration of the food security situation in the world has been caused not only by climate change and global crises, but also by the thoughtless sanctions policy by a number of developed countries, which prevents the access of a number of goods, including fertilizers from Belarus, to international markets.

He stressed that historically, the use of fertilizers has played a key role in increasing agricultural productivity and ensuring food security.

"The sanctions against Belarusian potash fertilizers has affected yields in Africa. Belarus calls to end the harmful practice of using illegal unilateral coercive measures," Andrei Dapkiunas stressed.
