MINSK, 14 September (BelTA) – A meeting of the Belarus-Bulgaria intergovernmental commission is planned to be held in Minsk in November, Petar Kanev, member of the Bulgaria-Belarus Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, said after the talks with Chairman of the Council of the Republic of Belarus' National Assembly Mikhail Myasnikovich, BelTA has learned.
"The commission is scheduled to meet in Minsk on 8-10 November," Petr Kanev said. He expressed hope that it will promote Bulgaria-Belarus relations.
The member of parliament noted that the two countries should work to boost the bilateral trade. A range of economic and scientific matters which are important for Belarus and Bulgaria will be discussed during the meeting.
As for the tourism, about 85,000 Belarusian tourists visited Bulgaria in 2016, Petar Kanev added. "This year we hope to welcome as many Belarusian visitors," he said.
