BAKU, 2 April (BelTA-Trend) – Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev and Belarus’ Vice Premier Vladimir Semashko met in Baku on 2 April. They praised the successful development of relations between the two countries in various sectors and good opportunities for further strengthening of ties.
The parties emphasized the importance of defining new areas of cooperation and the need to enhance the trade turnover between the two states.
According to the Belarusian vice premier, the rolling of the 10,000th tractor off the production line at the Ganja Automobile Plant is a milestone event. He stressed the importance of studying the opportunities of exporting Belarusian tractors made in Azerbaijan to third countries.
Ilham Aliyev stated for his part that during regional trips farmers took note of a good quality of these tractors, joint Azerbaijani-Belarusian products, and noted that these products have good export opportunities.
