MINSK, 23 June (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Azerbaijan Nikolai Patskevich met with Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalaf Khalafov to discuss the possibility of expanding the interstate dialogue, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The parties talked over the development of the bilateral cooperation. The focus was placed on the intensification of the interstate dialogue. Nikolai Patskevich praised the organization of the first European Games in Baku and the comfortable conditions that help Belarusian athletes show high results,” the press service added.
Baku is hosting the first European Games from 12 through 28 June.
In 2014, the trade between Belarus and Azerbaijan totaled $330.8 million. Belarus’ main exports included woodwork, tractors, vehicle parts and accessories, milk and dairy products, engines, medications, and ferrous-metal goods. Belarus imported Azerbaijan's oil products, acyclic hydrocarbons, clay, fruit and vegetable juices, polymers.
