Belarus, Argentina to develop political, trade, economic cooperation

MOSCOW, 21 July (BelTA) – Belarus and Argentina are determined to develop cooperation in the political, trade and economic areas. The matter was discussed at a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Argentina to the Russian Federation Ricardo Ernesto Lagorio in Moscow on 21 July, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian embassy.

“The parties discussed issues related to the development of the Belarusian-Argentinean cooperation in the political, trade and economic areas, the ways of intensifying the ministerial dialogue and inter-parliamentary cooperation, the expansion of the legal framework of bilateral relations,” the press service said.

The diplomatic relations between Belarus and Argentina were established on 6 November 1992. In 2016 the bilateral trade totaled $71 million.
