Belarus against revolutionary ways of development

MINSK, 3 October (BelTA) – Belarus would like and intends to follow the evolutionary path of development and speaks against revolutionary ways, Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said at the opening of the first conference of honorary consuls of Belarus on 3 October, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian minister of foreign affairs emphasized that “Belarus is open to cooperation and does not want the events that have been recently taking place in some countries.” “We do not want revolutions and choose an evolutionary way of development,” Vladimir Makei stressed.

He expressed gratitude to the honorary consuls, who despite the complicated times, when many countries had no trust in Belarus, chose the mission of working towards the rapprochement of peoples.

The current meeting of honorary consuls is the first of the kind in Minsk. It is aimed at strengthening and expanding bilateral ties with Belarus and other states. A special focus is on the sector of foreign trade and the attraction of foreign investment.
