MINSK, 30 December (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No.455 “On amending the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus on population documentation” on 30 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
According to the adopted decree, staff members of the permanent bodies of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and their family members who are citizens of the Republic of Belarus will be issued biometric diplomatic passports. This measure will facilitate smooth official travel and bring their status in line with that of representatives from other countries.
