Yuri Albers: Olympic Women’s Relay is a historic victory for Belarus

PYOENGCHANG, 22 February (BelTA) – The Olympic Women’s Relay is a historic victory for the Belarusian biathlon, senior coach of the Belarusian national biathlon team Yuri Albers said.

The Belarusian biathlon has many nice pages in its history. However, the athletes and coaches agree that the victory in the relay race is special. “We have been moving towards this success for seasons. It is a historic victory for the Belarusian biathlon. All the coaches who worked with the girls earlier did well. A lot has been done in the national team to achieve this goal as well. All the girls performed greatly. I am happy for our girls: Nadia, Ira, Dinara and Dasha. All these years they have been pursuing this goal and managed to achieve the biggest success in their careers,” said Yuri Albers.

Nadezhda Skardino, Irina Krivko, Dinara Alimbekova and Darya Domracheva won the Women’s 4x6km Relay at the 2018 Olympics in PyeongChang on 22 February. Sweden was second. France finished third.
