Xinhua reporter: Lukashenko’s dialogue with mass media demonstrated freedom of speech in Belarus

MINSK, 29 January (BelTA) – The dialogue of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko with reporters demonstrated that there is freedom of speech in Belarus, BelTA learned from reporter of Xinhua news agency in Belarus Chen Junfeng.

The reporter noted that the Belarusian head of state had answered all kinds of questions. “We would like to secure openness in our country, too,” said Chen Junfeng. “Today I was present in the hall where the Belarus president talked to reporters and saw that you have this freedom of speech”.

According to the Chinese reporter, the Belarus president honestly answered all the questions. He remarked that the atmosphere in the hall was friendly and, in his opinion, all the reporters were satisfied with the dialogue that took place. “It was obvious that the majority of those present support their president,” said Xinhua’s reporter.
