Xi Jinping: Belarus-China relations are advancing to a new level

BEIJING, 29 September (BelTA) – Belarus-China relations are developing dynamically and are advancing to a new level. China President Xi Jinping made the statement as he met with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko in Beijing on 29 September, BelTA has learned.

Xi Jinping said: “We have moved the bilateral relations and multilateral cooperation to an accelerated development track. Your visit is taking place at a very important moment when we sum up results of Chinese-Belarusian relations. China and Belarus are genuine friends and most sincere partners. Thanks to joint efforts Chinese-Belarusian relations are dynamically developing and are rising to a new level. Mutual trust grows stronger as well as practical cooperation across the board.”

Xi Jinping also noted that the sides effectively interact and coordinate approaches to items on the international agenda and the regional agenda.

“I am very glad to see that the agreements we have reached are being effectively implemented. We are ready to plan further development of the bilateral relations together with you in order to give them an additional impulse for the benefit of our nations,” stressed the President of China.

Xi Jinping also mentioned the personal contribution of Alexander Lukashenko to the advancement of the bilateral cooperation. “You are a great friend of the Chinese people. I highly appreciate your huge contribution to the advancement of Chinese-Belarusian-relations,” he said.
