UK expert praises Minsk conference as relevant, unique platform

 MINSK, 29 October (BelTA) – UK security expert Olamide Samuel has spoken about his experience at the 3rd Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security, BelTA has learned.

Olamide Samuel noted the relevance and unique format of this conference. For an effective dialogue, it is important to hear both sides, because, as the saying goes, there are always two sides to every story. Understanding Belarus’ view of geopolitical processes is essential to fully grasp its political interests, he said.

The USA, the European Union, and NATO use various tools to pressure and confront Belarus and Russia. According to Olamide Samuel, European diplomats find it difficult to criticize those participating in this conference because having access to all key issues and discussions is very important for them. I don’t fully understand where this criticism is coming from, but I’m sure we must foster a more comfortable environment for constructive dialogue, the expert said.
