Strict quality control at BelNPP construction site

MINSK, 3 August (BelTA) – The construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant (BelNPP) is being carefully monitored, Belarus’ Architecture and Construction Minister Anatoly Chernyi said in an interview with the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.

“We cannot allow any emergencies during the construction of the BelNPP. The quality of works at the construction site of the Belarusian nuclear power plant is under close control. Eight people independently monitor the degree of completion of the project. Each of them signs the permission to start the next construction stage,” Anatoly Chernyi noted.

The minister pointed out that 87% of work at the construction site is carried out by Belarusian specialists.

He also said that future employees of the nuclear power plant in Ostrovets will be provided with rental housing that is currently under development.
