Rusy: Belarus exploring all possible areas of cooperation with Chechnya

MINSK, 7 July (BelTA) - Belarus is exploring all possible areas for the development of cooperation with Chechnya, Belarus Vice Prime Minister Mikhail Rusy said as he met with a delegation of the Government of the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation, BelTA has learned.

"We are exploring all areas for the development of cooperation with the Chechen Republic. This is one of the basic approaches to our work in the North Caucasus,” the Vice Premier said, noting that Belarus is ready to provide its opportunities for the Chechen business.

According to Mikhail Rusy, the parties will need to explore the economic, social and humanitarian sectors and devise a program of joint action as the bilateral trade is too small. According to Mikhail Rusy, in order to increase the trade the parties need to deepen mutual relations, including in industry, agriculture, and petrochemistry. Mikhail Rusy pointed out that Belarus is ready to start working on the establishment of joint ventures, including the joint facilities to manufacture farm machines and construction equipment.

"Belarus has gained a pretty serious experience in creating advanced high-performance dairy farms," he said.

The official delegation of the Republic of Chechnya of the Russian Federation headed by Deputy Prime Minister Khassan Khakimov is in Belarus on a visit. The delegation includes representatives of several ministries, including the ministries of economy, territorial development and trade, industry and energy, agriculture.
