PM: Belarus set to implement all agreements with China

MINSK, 24 November (BelTA) - Belarus is set to implement all the agreements with China, Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov said as he met with Chinese Deputy Minister of Commerce Fu Ziying, BelTA has learned.

“The Belarusian government is ready to provide maximum comfortable conditions for the implementation of all bilateral projects and agreements, and welcomes the ongoing work to fill the trade and economic relations with new content,” Andrei Kobyakov said.

PM: Belarus set to implement all agreements with ChinaThe prime minister pointed out that thanks to the joint efforts, the contacts at the highest level the political interaction and cooperation between the two countries reached the unprecedented level of comprehensive strategic partnership. “We view China as a strategic partner, and our joint projects as a tool to strengthen cooperation in trade, economic, financial, credit, investment, scientific and technological and other fields,” the Belarusian head of government said.

PM: Belarus set to implement all agreements with ChinaBelarus and China have laid down a solid foundation for the transition from the credit and investment cooperation to direct investment and aligning the manufacturing capacities. “Now we need to make every effort to achieve the goals we have set,” said Andrei Kobyakov.

PM: Belarus set to implement all agreements with ChinaThe portfolio of investment cooperation between the two countries includes more than 30 major joint projects. The key one is the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park Great Stone. Thanks to the joint projects and cooperation on a long-term basis, Belarus is an important hub in the project to develop the Silk Road economic zone.

PM: Belarus set to implement all agreements with ChinaFu Ziying, in turn, noted that the Chinese government attaches particular importance to the Great Stone industrial park project. “This is a landmark project, marking the transformation of our interaction model: from credit to investment cooperation. I visited the Great Stone park today and saw significant progress,” he said.
