MINSK, 6 November (BelTA) – The strength of the Belarus nation lies in our unity around the leader, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich said during the inauguration ceremony of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 6 November, BelTA has learned.

“Our path is arduous, but we are a strong nation. Our strength lies in our unity around the leader,” Mikhail Myasnikovich said.

On behalf of the National Assembly, he congratulated Alexander Lukashenko on his assuming the office. “The Belarusian people – the sole source of state power – once again openly and honestly and in full compliance with the national legislation elected you as the head of state. This means that the people appreciate your efforts and constant care for them,” Mikhail Myasnikovich said.

As he addressed the President, Mikhail Myasnikovich also noted: “You have created the sovereign Belarus, a country respected in the world that is home to Belarusians. We feel proud to live in this country.” He said that the trust placed in Alexander Lukashenko by the people emphasizes the historical mission and the responsibility of the President.
