MFA: Belarus will continue to welcome any steps to restore peace in Ukraine

MINSK, 28 June (BelTA) – Belarus will continue to welcome any steps to restore peace in Ukraine and is ready to do everything possible for it, Anatoly Glaz, Head of the Information and Digital Diplomacy Office, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told a briefing on 28 June, BelTA has learned.

“We have always said that we will support any steps aimed at restoring peace in Ukraine. The release of the detainees is a noble deed. Mothers will finally see their sons and children their fathers. This is the main thing and such progress has been achieved on the Belarusian land,” the representative of the Belarusian ministry said.

“It is no matter what motives dominate in this very case, be it an election campaign, political or some other reasons. What matters most are concrete actions, not some signatures in government documents and bureaucratic casuistry. We will continue welcoming all the steps to restore peace in Ukraine and are ready to do everything possible for it,” Anatoly Glaz said.
