MFA: Belarus will continue constructive cooperation with Martin Sajdik’s successor

MINSK, 18 December (BelTA) – Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with outgoing Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine and in the Trilateral Contact Group Martin Sajdik in Minsk on 18 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed the activity of the Trilateral Contact Group under Martin Sajdik, prospects for peaceful settlement in Ukraine, including taking into account the recent Normandy Four talks in Paris.

Vladimir Makei warned against abusing Belarus’ goodwill and taking any provocative actions by the participants of the meetings in Minsk to bypass the Trilateral Contact Group agreements.

Belarus reaffirmed its commitment to continue constructive cooperation with Martin Sajdik's successor, Swiss diplomat Heidi Grau.
