Marzalyuk: The State of the Nation Address will outline an economic development strategy for Belarus

MINSK, 19 April (BelTA) – The annual State of the Nation Address by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko will outline a strategy for the country’s economic development, Igor Marzalyuk, Chairman of the Permanent Commission for Education, Culture and Science of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, told BelTA.

In his words, “the president’s State of the Nation Address will focus on the key issues: strategic economic development, strengthening of state sovereignty, the social and political situation in the country.”

The president will touch upon the most important matters of current interest, Igor Marzalyuk said. “I think we will learn how the country will develop taking into account the current geopolitical situation, the signing of the Customs Code and so on,” the MP said.

Igor Marzalyuk also expects that the president will speak about the promotion of business activities in Belarus.

As BelTA informed earlier, the president will deliver the annual State of the Nation Address on 21 April. The head of state will deliver the address during the joint session of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic.
