Lukashenko’s achievements in handling negotiations praised by world community

MINSK, 13 February (BelTA) – Achievements of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in handling negotiations have been praised by the world community, MP of the European Parliament of the 7th convocation (Latvia) Alexander Mirsky said in an interview to Belarus One TV channel on 12 February, BelTA has learned.

“All those who gather in Minsk understand that it is safe there. Belarus guarantees security. I believe it is an international recognition. Despite the fact that the President and the authorities are criticized, when someone needs to hold complicated negotiations, and now the fate of the whole world is at stake, Alexander Lukashenko’s achievements are praised by the world community,” the expert said.

Member of the Public Chamber of Russia, Director of the Social and Political Research Center Georgy Fyodorov noted: “Minsk is a good platform as Belarus is a neutral state with good ties with both Russia and Ukraine.”

Director of the publishing house of Ukraine Ruslan Maslakov stressed that “everyone wants peace.” “All the parties are tired of this bloody conflict. It is hard to say which country, apart from Belarus, understands the main point of the conflict. Minsk is the best place for negotiations,” the expert is confident.
